They are made of light material, which makes it easier to break-in compared to industrial roller doors. They do not use electricity, therefore, rely on human power to open and close. They do not have sensors and brakes, therefore, may end up hitting an obstacle.
Industrial Security Roller Doors
Containing horizontal stats that are hinged together, closed by pulling down and opened by raising it up. They are commonly found in industries. They are motorized since most of them are large and heavy.
Advantages
Industrial shutter doors are motorized since they are large and built with hard materials, they contain sensors and brakes that may avoid hitting an obstacle during opening and closure. They are designed to reduce the spread of smoke and flames through a building. They serve best where a high level of insulation is required. They are manufactured using strong materials as compared to commercial shutter doors.
Disadvantages
They are large and expensive compared to commercial doors. They are not suitable in areas experiencing power fluctuation and loss since they need the power to open and close. They need regular maintenance and it is necessary to create a power supply since automatic rollers depend on power and during power loss, they will not function. They are not suitable for places with high traffic since they open and close slowly, are noisier in high-rise situations as compared to commercial roller shutters.
